Trio Going on Vacation

Wanted to write about our - my sister (Jenny), cousin (Elly), and me - trip to Bali which is taken place on February 3 - 9, 2009. I would to call it 'Trio Going on Vacation' :)

We used Air Asia flight (round trip). We were staying at Wida Hotel on Melasti Street, Legian. The hotel was pretty good and clean, the receptionists were really helpful and friendly.

First time in Bali on our own, so kind of had to figure out many things alone, but my sister mostly came up with plans. Thank goodness. Thank you sis :D

We chose three days private tour and as following is the tour list:

Day 1
Taman Ayun - we could only circled the Pura. But the park and trees was pretty beautiful there.
Bedugul - did not go there because it was too foggy
Alas Kedaton - same as Monkey Forest; the monkey was still friendly to human.
Tanah Lot - good spot to see the sunset, if it was high tide we could not across to the Pura unless you did not mind your clothes got wet.

Day 2
Barong Dance (Tari Barong) - Balinese traditional dance and it was a one hour performance.
Celuk - an area where there are a lot of store sells gold and silver.
Kintamani - had lunch here with the view to Mount Batur (Gunung Batur) and Batur Lake (Danau Batur).
Tampak Siring - Pura which is famous with the 'Holy Water'.
Goa Gajah - there is a cave at this Pura.

Day 3
Tanjung Benoa [Nusa Dua] - this place is pretty good for water activity and sport. We had scuba diving and rolling donut here. It was fun!
GWK (Garuda Wisnu Kencana) - you can see the view of Kuta Beach and Nusa Dua (Tanjung Benoa).
Uluwatu - the Pura is on the cliff and be careful with the monkey. You can see Indian Ocean (Samudra Hindia) and the sea is viewed better in here.

After the tour day over, we took another water activity - rafting - but I am not remember what river we went to that time. After all that, we just walked around Kuta and Legian area, and also played at Kuta Beach. We came there not in high or peak season so it's not too crowded with tourists which made it more fun :)
