Three Zhang in Bangkok & Pattaya

Trio at Suvarnabhumi, Thailand International Airport
Last year trip... My sister, brother, and me, the three of us joined in a tour (Chan Brothers Tour) and went to Thailand. We visited Bangkok and Pattaya from September 8-12, 2010. To our surprise, turned out my sister's friend (Vero) was joined the tour as well. What a coincidence...

With Air Asia flight from Terminal 2 in Soekarno-Hatta (SoeTa) International Airport we flew to Bangkok. Arrived at Suvarnabhumi, Thailand International Airport. We stayed at Grand Mercure Fortune Hotel, Bangkok the first night. It was pretty good.

The next morning, our first stop was Grand Palace, Bangkok. It used to be a residence of the King of Thailand. We walked around inside of Grand Palace area. After that, we walked to a port near Grand Palace. We used a boat to across Chao Phraya River (a major river in Thailand with about 372 km long) to Wat Arun Rajwararam (Temple of the Dawn). It is a Buddhist Temple in Bangkok. After walked around, took some pictures, and bought some souvenirs at a market near Wat Arun; we went back with a boat.

Then, with the tour bus, we went to Pattaya. Wuihhh...it was a long hour drive for sure, not sure how many times I fell to sleep :D Arrived in Pattaya, we stayed at Hard Rock Hotel, Pattaya for two nights. It was pretty cool. Modern Contemporary. And we got the room with a balcony facing the beach so that made it even cooler :)

After put our baggage to the room and cleaned ourself after a long journey, we gathered again at the lobby to go to Alcazar Cabaret Show which is only one in Pattaya, it is a 'banci' (ladyboys) show. The show itself was pretty good though. After, we headed back to the hotel and walked around Pattaya.

The next day (day 3), we used a boat to go across to Coral Island. But before that, we stopped at a place in the middle of the sea to play parasailing. After playing there, we continued to go to Coral Island and finally arrived. The beach was really beautiful with white sand. The water was pretty clear and clean. We did not play any water activity, we walked around and took some pictures instead.

After all that, we went back and stopped at place near Pattaya Beach. We got some free time so the three of us went to The Avenue - a shopping mall with a piazza in the middle - and next we walked to Royal Garden Plaza - a modern shopping center - which is located next to JW Marriott Hotel. And there is Ripley's Believe or Not! in this Plaza.

Free time was up and we went back to the hotel. Since, it's not too late, sister and me decided to walked around Pattaya. We went to Central Festival Pattaya; it is a shopping center which above the mall there is a hotel, Hilton Hotel. After walked around in the mall, we went outside and found out it was raining. BUMMER! Kind of hard to walk in this weather, we decided to head back to the hotel.

The next morning, we checked out from Hard Rock Hotel and with bus went back to Bangkok. But, on the way, we visited Nong Nooch Village Park. There is a beautiful park in here. And we saw Nong Nooch Thai Culture show which are four regions show, Thai boxing, Elephant show.

After Nong Nooch, we went to Sriracha Tiger Zoo & Crocodile Farm to see Tiger show and Crocodile Show. Then we had early dinner at Royal Dragon Restaurant, the biggest restaurant in Thailand. Stomach was full, we went to night market to buy some souvenirs. And finally, went back to Grand Mercure Fortune Hotel, Bangkok for our last night in Thailand.

The last day, we still had time until the time to go back to Jakarta; so kind of a free time for all of us. First, we went to Mabungkrong (MBK) and since it's a free time, the three of us decided to not spend too much time at MBK. Instead, we walked to Siam Paragon and on the way we passed Bangkok Traffic Station (BTS) and went in to Siam Discovery then next to Siam Center and finally, there we were, arrived at Siam Paragon.

We got the time limit to gather back together at MBK so before the time we went back because of the distance between MBK and Siam Paragon is pretty far. Gathered together then we went to Suvarnabhumi, Thailand International Airport.

Flew back to Jakarta with Air Asia and in 3 hours 25 minutes we arrived back in Jakarta.

Cheers,
W
